Disk brake - micheus - 07-20-2017

This "how to" was created after Priceless user ask me for tips to create this kink of object.

That is not a full step-by-step, but it is for the relevant steps. I didn't show the start point when I started from a Tube and I didn't shown the final details that include the rivet building and the disk "assemble". (* I think I misstyped rivet as hivet on the pictures - sorry)
The focus was on how to create the topology to allow us to create all the holes needed.

For the external disk the start point was a tube with 100 segments. By considering our shape is basically a star with five points we must to choose for a number of segments that is multiple of 5. The chosen number allow us to have edges matching with the star tips too and make thinks easier.
For the internal disk the segments didn't need to be so high, then it was decided after complete star "spokes", but it also needed to be a multiple of five.

Here is the file with all the 75 pictures: Disk Brack - some steps.zip

This was the reference used:

This is the final result:

Topology is beautiful and clean.
