Dictionary of the Wings3D help - tkbd - 11-17-2012

Hello.
I'm making a help documentation to assist in Wings3D.
It is database-like,I named it "WINGS 3D Help Dictionary "
URL is here

This database based on the wings's lang file resource, covers the information-line, Hotkeys and many Commands.
I'm glad if will help to learn how to use Wings3d for English and non-English both user.

Usage:
Check "Control" floating panel at Right, and you can change "Language" from pulldown menu.
It is tested on Safari6.02 and Firefox16 (MacOSX).
If there are any mistakes, then please tell me know.

P.S
On making a dictionary, at the old yuku forum, it is found out who's the translator.
Thanks to all translators for each language.

All I can say is that it seems impressive. Though, if I am being truthful, I don't quite understand it's use, apart from the Hot Key section that is...

Sorry!

tkbd, I think there isn't a relevant information available: the wings version.

You dont seems seems to be using my last revision of the french lang in GitHub :
https://github.com/TulipVorlax/wings/blob/ba74547ebebcab12a0b84166d17f73c497c970aa/src/wings_fr.lang

And i'll surely update it this winter.

I see. I assume the current version 1.4.1.
also Distinction for the version it is necessary if new features are added.

RE: Dictionary of the Wings3D help - Fonte Boa - 11-19-2012

Tkbd, congratulations for this work.

First of all, i've already tested in three different machines, all them using Internet Explorer (either 8, either 9) and all i get is the following screen:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Therefore, all is ok using Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1. Smile

-------------

I couldnt find the following shortcut:
Ctrl + rmb click

This opens the Tweak menu: i dont know if you can call this a hotkey, because it is a combination of Ctrl with a right mouse button click (and not with a key). Anyway this could appear in somewhere, no?

RE: Dictionary of the Wings3D help - micheus - 11-19-2012

Tkbd, I checked it on IE and these are the error message:
Quote:Mensagem: Expected identifier, string or number
Line: 223
Character: 4
Code: 0
URI: http://brace.client.jp/w3d_hd/wings_help.js

Mensagem: object doesn't support this property or method 'addEventListener'
Line: 1
Character: 1
Code: 0

TulipVorlax
Well noted.
I'm looking forward to the updateSmile

Since I was using a Mac in the main, I was not aware of the failure of the IE.
Windows machine I do not use much.
Now, I have modified to be displayed in IE9 on windows.
However, some features may not work yet.
I'm going to look for the cause.
Thank you!

Fonte Boa
Ctrl + rmb click!!
I had forgotten that certainly Tweak menu. I want to add later.

I tried to HTML output using the "Defined Hotkey Sortable plug-in" hot key information.
But it failed in the my environment.
So I use plain text of the content of the help> defined hotkey menu.

RE: Dictionary of the Wings3D help - greytery - 11-22-2012

Because I use IE/Windows I have had the same problems as described by Fonte Boa. Hope you can fix the IE issues - probably something to do with scripting constraints in IE.

However, I switched to view the URL in Firefox - and KAPOW!!
All the Menu info exploded in one shot - just what I wanted to see (as a newbie).

Nice work! I particularly like the additional links out to other web documentation, such as the video examples and puzzledpaul's pages, which are in the context of the menu command. Very helpful.

I have some questions:
What Wings version is this? Some menu items don't quite fit with my version 1.4.1.
How best to fit this into the main Documentation project?
How do you keep the information up to date?

If you would like help with the English (some typos, etc) then please let me know.
