Suzuki van van RV-90 - Wegg - 04-26-2013

I was looking around for something to model for my attempt at updating my personal demo reel and came across this.

It's a motorcycle merged with an ATV that I think looks so hilariously awesome that I feel compelled to build it. I found a scale model kit that I am using for reference. My goal is to build a piece or two every day and hopefully come out with something awesome in the end.

So I did the first part. It's. . . a bit that goes on the motor. Cool

One question I have. . . is there a way in wings to select a bunch of edges and then type in a hard value to make them all the same length?

For certain situations, you can for sure to use Edge|Circularise (lmb option) command. One of the original functions of this command was to "equidistant" stuff.

I've recorded a video to you, Wegg.

Wowa. That is awesome! I had no idea it could do that. I'll be using that a lot.

Another question. . . Ambient Occlusion seems to only work on polygons that are still in their "default" surface group/material. Is there a way to apply it to all of the polygons regardless of the material they have applied to them?

Weeg, you just need to access the Material Properties and set Vertex Colors from Ignore to Set (for each material).

Just trying to learn something else here. About those vertices with five poles: Couldn't be they a problem in the future? or it doesn't mater if your model will not be animated?

Depends on the render engine but most of the time they don't show up. Triangles are more of a problem. Hence. . . I always avoid those.

A few more pieces done.
