I stumbled across this YouTube channel yesterday. It shows some tutorials that may be good for beginners... ViscorpianC Wings3D Tutorials
I don't remember seeing this posted before. If this is already listed go ahead and delete this post.
Edit: Just watched the "Car Modeling 3D Reference Set Up" tutorial. What is shown in the video works but it is much more simple if you RMB or select the Gear Icon (Version 2.1.5) in the Image Plane command. I notice that Micheus posted a note about that in the tutorial notes a year ago... Not saying the tutorial isn't good... just that it can be done easier.
Here is a video that Micheus did showing how the Image Plane command works when you RMB. I was thinking there was a newer one but didn't find it. The following video shows how it works in an older version of Wings3D... Image Planes video
For some background information on what the RMB options ("Transparent back face" and "lock after create" options enabled, "Offset" value set, etc.) are doing automatically, watch the following video that shows how image planes had to be created in the past... Blueprints video
I have to say thanks again to Micheus for improving the Image Plane command...
Thanks,
oort
