OK ... I just did a git clone to my OSX machine with several years old wings dev environment on it.

1.5.x series of Wings3D did seem to build to run (installer is next to tackle) ... I just start with a script.
So this is good. Thanks guys.

Also check latest Mac SNAPSHOT release from Bjorn on iMac. All seemed fine in iMAC.

(If correct it will preview dialog for the direction in which the textures.)
There were changes to wings_ask:dialog() parameters after the version 1.4.1 be released that was not updated in the new snapshot.
It's fixed now. Fix on gitHub

Thanks for report tkbd.

A Win64 version is available here:

Works for me on Windows 7, can someone please test?
May be faster, will use more memory but can handle larger scenes,
if you have more than 2GB memory on your machine.

Do note that this first 64b version ever, so save often :-)
I have only tested it for 5min.

Dan ... congrats man !!! Awesome. Thanks to Micheus and Optigon and Bjorn and PuzzledPaul and all the usual suspects who have stayed the course for so very long.

Hi there, it is worth mentionning. the 64 bit version is WOW.Pure devilish awesome! I saved a 940,000 polys
without any caca, using processing power at 20 to 22 range and memory up to and above 2 gigs.i will definitively tortur the soft in the coming days. Now i can foresee the day when i will have session of 2
millioms and more polys.Bravo to you all!

I tested it a bit and it definitely runs a lot smoother.

I took a scene up to a million polygons and I found I could still work with it, which was not the case in the 32-bit versions. I'm surprised it made such a big difference.

Very nice work. Smile

Specs:
i7 2600 (4 cores @ 3.4~3.7Ghz)
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6970

Running Windows 7 (x64)

I did saved a 1.7 millions polys this morning easy. Now the question that remains is what when the ML plug-ins are installed, what is the stability of such a joint operation?GGaliens mabe!

RE: Snapshot Time again - koipetta - 04-09-2013

I understand that it has to be recompiled 64 bits before any attempt?I deduced this but i am not a wizard of Oz in programming...

Indeed, Dan ... not that I'll be able to (or bothered about) trying same ... as regards my name being there, let it be noted I had absolutely nothing to do with this ... wouldn't know where to even consider starting.
