Sweep between 2 faces - cyseal - 01-22-2016

It is possible to sweep between 2 faces without calculating the angle and extruding?
When I sweep, it happens that the faces are not connected in the end because of a small angle or small amount of extruding.

Sweep result with 1 extrude,-10 degrees in z-axis. I would like to align 2 faces.

No.
By considering the image, I would to say that you could to use a portion of 270 degree of a Cylinder (Tube); or extrude one face of the "cross", segment it and use blend to curve it; or you could Bridge the two faces of the "cross", select the new edges, cut them by n segments, select again the new edges and use Circularize by +/-270°.

What do you mean blend to curve it?

If I use second option, how to cut new egdes in n segments?

I was recording a video while Micheus was typing!
You can reach the results you want by using RMB Bend (click on Bend command using right mouse button to reach TopRad Bend coomand)(keep an eye on infoline).

The results are about 100% exact: you should select the final faces, Bridge them and, finally, use CleanUp to eliminate coincident vertices.

Please, let me know if the video was userful for you.
Remember: RMB Bend is a three-step operation (point rod center, point rod top, point bend normal)

Thank you.

Sorry, I was busy at work. Smile

I saw Fonte Boa already answered you, but as I had started to build the gifs I decided to finish and share them here.

My prefered (short steps) - Brige+Circularize:

The second one - Extrude+Bend:

Bridge + Circularise is the best solution. Great!

Thanks, nice flow.

After you cut and connect, what two edges did you select ?
I can't get the correct loop ring to circularize.

For the Circularize option?
They are two segment from the initial edge we cut - the corners. Notice that after that we use Edge Loop that will select all the segments cut from that initial edge.
