Dialogue boxes pop up in awkward place - esha - 04-15-2016 I just switched from 1.5.4 to 2.0.3 and I like it, overall. However, there is one little change that drives me crazy: When you open a dialogue box it always pops up in the top left corner of the screen. For example, I move something and hit the tab key to enter a value, or I call up one of the Absolute Commands dialogues, the box is always in the top left corner. My mouse cursor, however, is usually elsewhere and I have to move it right across the screen to manipulate the dialogue. In the previous versions those dialogue boxes always appeared at the current cursor position. That was much more comfortable. Yes, I know, I could just use the tab and arrow keys to move inside the dialogues but I find that awkward and impractical. Could the previous behavior of the pop-ups come back, please? Thanks RE: Dialogue boxes pop up in awkward place - micheus - 04-21-2016 Maybe the default location could be change or added to preferences. I don't know. But, by considering that most of the dialogs could be applied to preview some operation in progress that place uses to be nice since it will not cover the object being modified. In the past versions I used to move the dialog to a corner just because of that. Hmmm... seems to be a matter of taste then. Now I keep moving it back into the middle of the screen. An option in the preferences would be awesome! Btw. in the Absolute Commands > Move dialogue the reference point can't be edited anymore. Is that intentional? |
