Beginner Tips? - Lincoln - 02-24-2017 I apologize in advance if this is a redundant post. I am a visual/UI designer with a focus on logos and print work. I am looking to leverage Wings as a new toolset, are there any tips and or resources that i should look into? RE: Beginner Tips? - micheus - 02-24-2017 Lincoln, welcome to our community. We don't have a proper thread related to beginners stuff - something to do. ![]() One important thing to remember: Wings3d talks to you by the Information Line - the bottom one. Unfortunately we don't have somebody working on Windows3D's documentation, so it was just started. ![]() I can recommend the Dictionary of the Wings3D help by tkbd that works like a huge online reference card. Very usuful. In Interface & Usage you can find pinned: - Collection of Tutorials - TOPOLOGY and the post Beginner Wings3D Tutorials by oort The are also some others I listed in the Wings3D fanpage at Facebook answering Lorembolo Bolo: Quote:We can find a lot of videos at YouTube, but most of them aren't more than basic. We have to prospect them:The PuzzledPaul's tutorials are a classic and I recommend to take a look on it. Wings3D had its UI changed recently, but most of its operations are still the same, so if you want to spend some time watching a video talking about it I can point only this two: - Basic Wings 3D 1.4.1 Tutorial Series, Part 1: Understanding the Interface - Wings 3d Tutorial - Beginners, How to Get Started in NEW version 1.5.4 Any doubt about the Wings3D use can be asked to the community (if you don't find a existent answer) in the Interface & Usage session. Good look. ![]() RE: Beginner Tips? - adh3d - 04-04-2017 One tip would be , don't use the smooth command till the end of the modeling process, add edges, polygons... RE: Beginner Tips? - broozar - 05-09-2017 puzzledPaul gets a total recommendation from me too, that's how I learned all the years back.
