UV Mapping Weird Alignment - some_yahoo - 01-11-2018 I have noticed that the unfold methods tend to put UV maps at odd alignments in the map. The easiest way to describe this is that if I have a symmetrical object, all the similar faces will align in the texture map to the axes as much as possible. What I see in Wings is a lot of \ \ | | / / kind of weird diagonal alignments. Now, no one likes jaggy, pixellated lines in their texture maps, so there ought to be a way to say... - Select a center or edge line in a UV object - Pick "align object horizontal" or "align object vertical" - there should also be a way to pick multiple objects of the same types and align them all together. The pixelated appearance of the edges can vary in accord with the map resolution you choose to create the texture. |
