wings3d-x64 appimage - 3dbb - 11-22-2019 Edit. Latest versions temporarily here: https://files.fm/u/b42wnpwq __________________________________________________________ Here's my first semi successful attempt at creating a wings3d-2.2.4-x64 appimage. opencl does not work. runs on mx-18, mx-19, bionicpup. xubuntu-18.04 needed to install libwxgtk-3.0-0v5 to system to make it work. temp download link: https://files.fm/u/b42wnpwq try it out, and see if it works for you. I'll keep trying to get opencl to work. Hope someone else can try as well, as mine is not compliant with appimagehub. I don't yet have the skills required. opencl doesn't work on my notebook with the installed wings3d-2.2.4, so I thought it was my computer, but other apps work with it. maybe it's erlang that has the problem with opencl on newer os. I'm using mx-18, mx-19. I don't feel as bad if it's not working on flatpak either. thanks RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - Hank - 11-23-2019 tried with Linux Mint 19 but it doesn't work: =ERROR REPORT==== 23-Nov-2019::17:22:24.601514 === WX Failed loading "wxe_driver"@"/tmp/.mount_Wings39sgnjA/lib/wx-1.8.7/priv" =CRASH REPORT==== 23-Nov-2019::17:22:24.641393 === crasher: initial call: wxe_master:init/1 pid: <0.81.0> registered_name: [] exception error: {load_driver,"libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"} in function wxe_master:init/1 (wxe_master.erl, line 132) in call from gen_server:init_it/2 (gen_server.erl, line 374) in call from gen_server:init_it/6 (gen_server.erl, line 342) ancestors: [<0.80.0>,wings_sup,<0.78.0>] message_queue_len: 0 messages: [] links: [] dictionary: [] trap_exit: false status: running heap_size: 987 stack_size: 27 reductions: 2926 neighbours: BR, Hank RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - 3dbb - 11-23-2019 Thanks for trying it out Hank. Ill start looking into making it work on mint-19. looks like the same error I get on xubuntu-18.04. I hope mint has a live version I can use from a usb, as this is how I'm trying the distros. I have had no success getting vb installs to run wings. anyone know how to ask questions on the appimage pages? the process seams difficult for me. Thanks RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - 3dbb - 11-23-2019 I have tried to make this work on mint. I can get it to work on mint-18, but then it wont work on mint-19. all my problems making this cross os seem to be due to wx. WX Failed loading "wxe_driver"@"/tmp/.mount_wings3MjbwJT/lib/wx-1.8.7/priv" I'll have to get some help on this. this is above my knowledge at this time. I need to figure out how to use the forums at appimagehub. please try this on other distros stretch and buster based. maybe this will help me track this down. Thanks RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - 3dbb - 11-24-2019 Thanks again hank. the key was in the second error. added pakg for libjpg and libpng, and now it works on mx-18, mx-19, bionicpup, mint-18, mint-19, xubuntu-18.04 wings3d_2.2.4_stretch-1.1_amd64-x86_64.AppImage temp download link: https://files.fm/u/b42wnpwq give this one a try I think it's a winner. RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - 3dbb - 11-24-2019 dgud here are the packages I used to create on mx-18 debian stretch. erlang-base_1%3a19.2.1+dfsg-2+deb9u2_amd64.deb erlang-cl_1.2.3-3_amd64.deb erlang-esdl_1.3.1-3_amd64.deb erlang-wx_1%3a19.2.1+dfsg-2+deb9u2_amd64.deb erlang-xmerl_1%3a19.2.1+dfsg-2+deb9u2_amd64.deb libgl1-mesa-glx_13.0.6-1+b2_amd64.deb libglu1-mesa_9.0.0-2.1_amd64.deb libjpeg62-turbo_1.5.2-2+b1_amd64.deb libpng16-16_1.6.28-1+deb9u1_amd64.deb libsdl-ttf2.0-0_2.0.11-3+b1_amd64.deb libtinfo5_6.0+20161126-1+deb9u2_amd64.deb libwxbase3.0-0v5_3.0.2+dfsg-4_amd64.deb libwxgtk3.0-0v5_3.0.2+dfsg-4_amd64.deb ocl-icd-libopencl1_2.2.11-1_amd64.deb wings-2.2.4-linux.bzip2.run what version of ubuntu do you build on? How do you get the packages you use for dependencies? I would love to get this to match your versions. appimage hub says they use ubuntu 14.04, but the dependency packages are not available with synaptic. This keeps me from submitting it there, I think. could this wx lib missmatch be causing the opencl problem? 22:49:18: Warning: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected. You can see it in https://github.com/dgud/com.wings3d.WINGS/blob/master/com.wings3d.WINGS.json We almost always use the latest erlang version available, i.e. next release will use version 22.1 (or 22.2). 19.2 is really old now.. The opencl issue may be caused by not having header files? Thanks dgud RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - Hank - 11-25-2019 Wings3d_2.2.4_mx18-1.3_amd64-x86_64.AppImage works on Linux Mint 19 Thank you for preparing this package! BR, Hank RE: wings3d-x64 appimage - micheus - 11-25-2019 A noob asking... These images run only on 64bit distros?! |
