zooming while rotate mode is activated - engrenage - 04-18-2021

clicking once with the middle button lets me rotate the viewport ; when in this mode, holding the middle button lets me pan around it. that's great, but is there a reason why it's not possible to adjust the zoom level with the mouse wheel while in this mode?

Hmm, this works for me, what Camera mode and what have you set your number of mouse buttons to?

Dan, although engrenage didn't make mention he is under Linux (based on other posts of him).

We missed this post which I just moved to Bug Reports section: Linux: no zooming while in camera rotation mode

I have not changed any settings at all, everything is default.

also, another thing that annoys me quit a bit is that to pan while in edit mode I need to middle-click and release and middle-click and hold and pan and release and left-click.

as a side-note, my (brand new cherry) keyboard has quite a few issues where some key combinations just don't work and it randomly disconnects and reconnects (so that I have to reset the keyboard layout everytime because I set the layout with setxkbmap instead of in xorg conf)

I can try with a different keyboard, but since I zoom with the mouse wheel I don't really see how this should affect that.

Can you try changing the settings then, they are default setup to be 2-button mouse and nendo camera mode.
Thus no scroll wheel at all.

I will test on linux as well.
