Making pipes - some questions - micheus - 05-18-2013

I started from a cylinder as reference for set the desired sizes/length...

and I'm opening the circles and using Bend Clampled for "open" the extremities.

Am I in the right way or is there an better way to get these pipes done?

A little progress...

A second question (the first was: Move Radial)...
Is there a way to twist the vertices (left) in order to get the right (better) bridge for the selected faces (right)?

It's almost finished, but I still accept suggestions for my previous questions. Smile

It was hard rotate each edge loop around its own axis in order to twist the curved pipes:

Dunno how you did it, m, but I probably would've

Selected eloop
Edge | rotate > rmb (and selected same eloop for its normal)
noted angle if eyeballed

select next eloop
CntrlD etc etc

Only doing the minimum number of ops - then mirror etc.

I hope whatever tube it's made from is suitably rated for the calorie challenged individuals in our midst Smile

Paul, it was what I tryed to do when I wrote "edge loop around its own axis". Smile

For "straight" pipes I can use F6+ShiftD after the first setting, but it doesn't works for curved pipes as I was specting:

p.s. I edited the last comment for the picture.
