Dragon request/idea - wardmetal - 06-23-2014
Greetings from NW Arkansas. I'm new to this forum and Wings 3d. But, not new to computers or CAD programming. I'm sure it will take me a bit to get "up to speed" with any skill on Wings 3D... but, it sure looks like what I need. What I need... is a dragon model and a method to take the 3D model down to a collection of the polygons/etc to cut out with a 2D plasma table. Then... weld together and get to my real "expertise" of shaping said metal. With a couple of thousand pounds of SS in my shop... I'm sure I can spare some to work on a dragon's head in my spare time. So, ya, I'm wanting to learn this program or talk to those of you who do... to build something in RL (real life.) The first motivation/project is a dragons head. In dealing with it... I hope to learn some more skills that will help with other projects on down the road. So, before I go "re-inventing the wheel"... errr... Dragon's head... has anyone else already done this?
And yes, that dragon pic on the homepage "tripped my trigger".

I don't know who made the dragon featured on the Wings3D website, but I THINK it was someone on the forum. Something like that perhaps?
