Greetings friends of Wings3d,

For years, I use wings3d for my game mod models and it makes me very happy.
For a while now, BLENDER was added to Steam as a Tool, and of course, I also added my Wings3D to the list as well.

But I have noticed that Blender gained much popularity in social networks Steam community.
Could it also be possible that Wings3D had a "boom" inside Steam?

Thank you for reading my crazy thoughts and see yourself free to comment.

Although it became a evenmore larger 3D pack, it seems like the editor is more friendly like - I've hearing that frequently now. Smile

Yeah, we love W3D and we want to see it having a "boom" everywhere. Biggrin
I'm not sure we could get that. Our community is very small, but is up to each one help that to happens.

I just checked and it requires a lot of steps until get into Steam: Getting Started

The problem with "booming" Wings is that time would have to be spent, pushing it down peoples throats. I do my best to promote the program, as does Micheus, but it's a big world, we have things to do Biggrin

I know that Wings usage has gone up over the past year, because of my inbox. Either that, or usage of me has gone up hahaha

Forgive me for my bad english))
I think that wings3d will gain popularity as soon as some necessary functions appear in them, which are currently lacking. For example bevelling edges where you can select the number of segments. As soon as Wings 3D can generate maps, ambient, normal maps and bake them onto a low poly model as well as retopology, it will become popular.
