Hi

I have been using Ctrl Insert to define my custom hotkeys. It has been working but today I fired up Wings3d and wanted to try a new hotkey for an edge operation.

Whenever I press Ctrl Insert, instead of staying in component mode , it goes to Object mode for defining shortcuts, basically Ctrl Insert - > Right click shows me the object menu instead of whatever componen mode I have been in.

I do not think I override the Ctrl Insert as object mode, since it is still telling me to choose a menu item to define a shortcut.

Does anyone know a way to revert to regular Ctrl Insert behavior without wiping my settings?

thanks

EDIT: Nevermind I think I was not triggering it properly.

Hi morikan

That probably happens because you are not selecting anything.

The context menus are sensitive to the kind of elements selected: face, edge and vertex. If nothing is selected, then the body context menu is shown. Smile

Just for your information, if is of your interest use different set of hotkeys you can use the "File->Save Preferences Subset" and on the shown dialog you check "Hotkeys" and/or everything else and give the file a name.

You can then backup the default hotkeys settings, create your own (save it too) and switch between than.
