Very, very sad news.
We've lost today Ray Harryhausen, 92, for sure the most outstanding animator for my childhood. I wont ever forget Jason and the Argonauts: i really miss all those creatures same way i miss my child times.
Thank you very much for all you did for this old child here, mr. Ray Harryhausen, and for many many other children around the world: thanks! Rest in peace. Sad

Fonte Boa,
I hadn't heard of this yet. That is sad news. He did amazing work. I will have to watch one of those great movies tonight in his honor. I have many of those that are shown in the video you posted. It is hard to pick one but Jason and the Argonauts is at the top of my list of favorites as well... I didn't see them in the theaters but got to know and love them on TV... Smile

Times' changing is amazing indeed... I do remember the immense impression that all those creatures and effects had on me as a child. Now they look as very primitive but in their times where superb. Besides, in their times it was almost impossible even to imagine the progress that has been made in digital graphics nowadays.
