This is puzzling me for days ..

The both bodies left and right should be cut at the height of the selected face. I tried several tools, but i can't cut the both bodies at the height of the face :-(

Which command should i use and in which order?

Thanks, this does the trick. I tried plane cut in several ways, but didn't understand the pass-through-point.

Is there somewhere an archive with this kind of gifs?

You can find many things at this thread: Wings3d Channel Tutorials (by Fonte Boa)

But, specifically about this subject, you will find some Fonte Boa's videos at his "personal" YouTube channel. I found some for you here.

...

This is a unique point through which the (already specified) cutting plane will pass.

eg imagine you'd made a table with 4 legs and you wanted to cut the legs in half.

select the table top (face) as the cutting plane

select one of the vertical edges associated with any table leg (wings will assume you want the mid point of that selected edge) as the point thro which the plane will pass.

apply / ok

For any cutting plane you specify, there's an infinite number of planes parallel to it ... the 'point' feature in wings allows you to specify *exactly* where you want the plane to pass thro Smile
