Where is the menu option to make a simple triangle? I see all the other shapes (My favorite is a torus) but where is the triangle?

There isn't one.

Various ways of obtaining a (2 sided) triangle.

eg
Body mode
R click on cylinder prim
Enter 3 in sections >ok.

Select triangular end face
Face > Extract > normal (say)

Or just select any triangular face that already exists on a model and > Extract.

Hi dratikus,

For a 3 sided pyramid, add a "Tetrahedron"

For a 4 sided pyramid...

Create a Cube > Select Top Face > Switch to edge mode (4 top edges selected) > RMB > Collapse. Move top point up or down as desired.

For a pyramid with base of N sides.

Object > Cylinder (either R clk on cylinder listing or L/R clk in small box at right of line) > enter N in sections field
Select top face > collapse (no need to change to E mode)
