When I export a model in .x format it appears deformed in the Darkbasic game engine.
Have there been any complains about exporting in DirectX format before?
If not then I assume the problem lies within Darkbasic.
I have searched this forum about it but did not find anything related.

Never tried Dark Basic .. but that's way old-school. Try triangulating your mesh before export. Also, Fragmotion had a much better DX9 export .. I think you can still use for free .. gotta type a Prayer to use it (?????) There's another Program CharacterFX ... probably the easiest to set up bones and animate your DirectX models. However .. only exports to DirectX8 .. so ... Build in Wings3D .. triangulate .. export as object. Set up in CharacterFX .. save file. Then do each animation in CharacterFX, export each seperate. Then join them in Fragmotion and export from there DirectX9 .. I've used this for 3DRad ... also used this exporting MD2 for Sandbox (based on Cube engine) .. but sorry never tried dark Basic ...

I copied your reply to figure it out, thank you for that.
In the mean time I found out that exporting the models to Darkbasic in .3ds format works without problems .... at least so far.

Hi cindy1,

Unfortunately I fail to understand what your reply has in common with my post about exporting issues in Wings3d.
Could you explain please?
