I found out that if you type 3 in menu height in pixel , it is what you received... a gift from santa programmer.Much fun...

That value is the pixels amount and should be used to define the maximum menu height. Maybe it was something useful in the past when the screen resolution was small and the menu could have some option hidden. As the menu is auto adjustable I think that nowadays that item in the preferences doesn't has utility - except "be fun".

so then have this useless feature from the pref remove and maybe find more of these useless forgotten programmer prowess hidden all over the soft.
Then it will be forever fun less.
