I recently discovered that I can set up multiple geometry views to get different perspectives on my models as I work on them. However, it seems that every time I reload Wings, they all get reset to the default perspective. Is there any way to make Wings remember the perspectives? I realize I can just use the "view along" menu options (which I bound to X, Y, and Z respectively for quick access), but it is still one more thing to do!

Additionally, is there any way to "lock" the camera in all but one of the geometry views, so I don't accidentally disturb them and throw everything off?

ekolis,
Your only option is to View > Saved Views > Save, to save custom views. Then View > Saved Views > Jump, to restore those views.

Optigon talked about doing some work on the geometry windows a while ago. Not sure if he has started doing any work on that or not. Others have requested having the perspectives remembered when reloading the files as well. Being able to lock the views is a good idea as well.

Yeah, and this option works fine is you make use of Saved View window.

I already implemented this option and did a pull request for it (last year). Maybe it would be include it in the next release.

I've made a Keyboard shortcut for "Align (view) to Selection". This is probably more effective than Saving Views. I just select whatever and hit the shortcut - wa la centers my view on the selection ... makes getting into tight spots easy, or Backing up to view a whole model. Works in all Modes - Object, Polygon, edge, and vertex ... just an Idea .....

yeah, that is a good assignment. Other useful view shortcut is for Highlight Aim [A] (in which you define the new "center of view" and you can round around).

But, I think that ekolis was talking about to have some Geometry windows for preserve views like X, Y, Z and perspective. You can add as many geometry window to the view port as you want, but after your exit Wings3d and start it again all those windows will be showing the same view point.
