Hi,

I use quite often the View/Align view to the current selection(normal), but I was wondering if there were a way (or setting?) that would allow us to use it on the temporary/highlighted selection only when there already is a selection, rather than aligning to the later? Or if such an option could be considered for the development roadmap, maybe?

You can save Views, and you can assign those to hotkeys. Not exactly what your lookin for, but might be an idea for now. I keep the align to selected on hotkey and use it constantly. And you know you have your Orthographic views X,Y,Z ... on those keys, they're useful too ....

I think that you would assign a hotkey for that. One common command I use the hotkey is View->Highlight Aim [A], but I already defined a CTRL+SHIFT+A for View->Align to Selection - that will work fine with temporary selection.
