Hi,
i have a little problem with wing 3d and poser and hope that maybe someone here could help me. ( sorry for my bad englisch)

I want to import a small figure from poser to wing 3d to smooth the meshes.
The figure has only a very few mehes. So the import of the obj in wing 3d works. I select all meshes an smooth it to double the meshes. Than i export it as an obj again. The problem now is that when i import it again in poser, the morphs of the figure are lost.

Is there a way to edit poser figures in wing 3d without losing the morphs of poser ?

It isnt clear to me: did you import a single object and their variations ("morphs") to be subdivided ("smoothed"), and after export them back to poser as obj some of these objects are no more present?

It seems you used File|Export Selected|OBJ instead of File|Export|OBJ, no?!

I'm not a Poser user, so I'm not sure how Poser implements morphs, but generally morphs (aka relative vertex keys) rely on common vertex counts *and vertex order* to work.
If you simply bring a single OBJ, and not all the other morph targets, into Wings, and smooth it, you are altering both the vertex count and order... thus breaking the morphs.

Re Daz Studio User here .. and Yes Vertex Order and Count. You cannot use the Subdivide-Smooth cuz you'll change the Polycount ... But you can use Tweek or Sculpt-Smooth. Then you should Import your new object as a Morph ... As to not loose the other morphs you already have ... Also (not usually a problem) but if you import an .obj that is Not Closed (Non-Manifold) into Wings3D it will import with the Holes Filled (Manifold) .. To revert Back Select by UV-mapped faces, then invert your selection and us the "Hole" function.
