Crash on Save/Export - Mac

Wings is having problems with Saving & Exporting.

Wings version is 1.4.1

System specs: Mac OS 10.8.2, iMac 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB, 4 GB RAM.

I create a default cube, I don't make any changes to it, I just try to Save As or Export, and the Save window comes up to name the file and lists the default directory to save to as the main hard disk directory. If I try to change the directory (such as to my Documents folder), it crashes and generates an error report. I click on the directory select button and it instantly crashes, it never opens up to give me other choices for directory.

If I try to just Save or Save As to the default directory, I get an error window in Wings of "Save failed: permission denied". If I try to do an Export to the default directory, I get an error window in Wings of :

I've restarted the computer and re-installed Wings with a new download, and still have the problem.

I've only just started using Wings again, so many things have changed (e.g. OS updates) since I last ran it with no problems.

Welcome to the forum. Seems most Wings3D users are either using Windows or Linux since no one has answered. Since I don't know Mac I can only suggest you try the latest Mac Snapshot that can be found in the following thread. I assume you have set your permissions properly for the folder where Wings3D is installed. The Mac Snapshot is a couple posts down from the first one.
Snapshot Release

The Snapshot is stable (at least I know it is for Windows) plus has added features you will like.

If you still get crashes on that build, assuming your permissions are set properly, post information in that thread.

Hi oort,

Thanks for the link. The snapshot fixed the crashing when trying to select a folder, but now has a crash after exporting to Collada format. I'll post that issue in the other thread.
