I recently wanted to play with TopMod again.
I found a different repository where the authors had worked towards a version 3.0 (it even has a 4.0 roadmap).
I forked this repository and made the source build with the latest XCode (Clang 5) against the latest Qt (5.x), on OS X Mavericks.
The resulting binary of TopMod has Retina support in the viewport for now (icons still look pixelated, I haven't figured out how to get them to render as high-res, my Qt-Fu is practically non-existent). It also has lots of bugs fixed (by the authors, not by me), compared to the one found on the Google Code page.
An archive is here.
This is a spare time effort, so no promises as far as bug fixes etc. goes.
I will push my fork to a github repo asap so people can log issues there.
Beers,
