Here is a link to where you can download the Autodesk FBX converter. It will let you convert OBJ, DXF, DAE, and 3DS to FBX.... FBX Converter 2013.3 Download

Here is a link to the page where Autodesk FBX software tools are listed... Autodesk FBX Software

Thanks for the link. I'll try them out when I get back to work after my vacation Smile I ran into a pretty big brick wall with Unity's model importers, so hopefully this one will help.

bazooka,
After a bit of googling I finally came accross the following thread which says that fbx was removed in version 1.3.1 so I would assume the version before that would include fbx support. I don't know how good it was or if it supported both export and import or not. fbx support removed in wings 1.3.1

Edit: It looks like Autodesk moved their tool to the following site: Autodesk FBX Converter

It supported a very old version of FBX.

Here is why dgud removed it:

with a paid developer package for fbx, which is why we deleted it.

Thus a new expoerter needs to written by someone.

Thanks for the heads-up guys! It adds a processing step, but the linked file adds a useful host of tools and is worth it, as I already take output to another app for rigging.
