@ppaul

True enough! Though how would you circumvent this issue.

If not apparent from the video; Using tweak (and I am assuming move free) on objects not combined will move them to varying degrees. This was a constant issue I had during the making of JPB.

@GG

Nice! I look forward to trying all the new stuff out. Smile

This just happens in Perspective view: switch to Ortogonal view and the problem is solved. Smile

Definitely, but it doesn't stop it from being an issue. Having to move my selections via the ortho views simply to work around a grouping issue is unintuitive and time consuming.

For me at least.

Wait, is this why I'm having trouble with coloring separated objects different colors, they have the same name? Off to do some testing...

Hm, nope, that does not seem to do anything with regard to the problem I'm having.

I've merged my hull with saved selections from other ship models I've worked on, and now when I try to assign materials to some of the objects, nothing happens, but when I assign materials to one object, several of the others change to that color, as well. I've tried selecting everything as objects and separating them all, and still, coloring one object (and only that one object) by assigning a different material changes the color of 4 others (but changing the colors of those does nothing).
