7hrs with all that things in between is not a lot of time if you think you're creating something that you can produce in several pieces.

Actually, for production, it's not important to have beveled edges because of the buffing of the surface. I use to leave crease edge on the jewels because they become round when i polish them.
But for the rendering, the edge should be rounded
