Hopefully it is easier with the latest version of the YafaRay plugin. Wings3D 2.0.1 comes with the plugin already installed.
You can get the latest version of the plugin for Wings3D 1.5.4 on the Wings3D page of my website. You may have to manually copy the .beam file to your plugins/import_export folder due to Windows 7 and above requiring special permission to copy to that folder.
There is help for configuring the plugin under Edit > Plugin Preferences > YafaRay.
Make sure you install YafaRay and not Old YafRay. You can also use "TheBounty" renderer (YafaRay Fork). You will have to use "TheBounty" if you want to use SSS.
