A nice tool from Autodesk, is completely freeware, it seems. Mostly for those times you can only deal with super dense meshes, melting them, etc. Seems to handle those very lightly. Is not a super fast organic modeler like Wings3d, but still, some nice helper tool to have available, imo, like meshlab and others.

Oh, and BTW, Krita (2D painting tool, excelent and free) has been making amazing improvements later. For me, just the fact that allows working in game tiles easily, that is so friendly for a digital painter, and that works with CMYK mode too, was already enough reasons... But they keep pushing the limits.
