(Just in case it's useful In Autocad, short R-click = ENTER (Validate Command, or Repeat Previous) A longer R-click gives you the Context Menu (= command prompts neatly lined, like Wings'.) you can remove either, if you want. Newer Autocads allow you to click-choose from the Commandline.
I agree. Alternatively, it could be moveable.
But I still think my original idea can still be useful: A startup screen with a short intro to the screen, and tips. Like: Look at the Infoline! Look at the top bar! Look at the R-Menu! NEVER MIND THE SQUINT! (Just kidding ) But, seriously, didn't Fonte Boa suggest moving Top Bar Info to the bottom?
