Cinema 4D bevel style

I was playing with a new translation of a tutorial made for C4D and I face a situation where I wanted reproduce the bevel style used by the tutorial's author:
The two middle images are the bevels style presented by the author.

So here is the way I did it, just in case someone else get a similar situation:

I could extract eight shapes from his base shape. I should post a render of this collection soon.

Because of C4D have something like the stack modifiers of 3DS he can go back sometimes and adjust the object's thickness (for example) even after apply smooth. For this case, what we can do is to work most the time as possible in low poly and make use of OpenCL Proxy Level with a value of 2. That help us to see how the object will look after we produce a real smooth twice - the usual when this kind of object is finished.

For some objects I noticed after create the thickness some parts seemed to be a little twisted - not desired if we will print them. Specifically in the region near to the cylinder area. But I believe that by changing the initial cylinder shape to a cone like we could avoid that without a big change in the final result.

So, I almost could answer you "yes", but because of that I couldn't reproduce one shape.
