Very nice modeling and texturing as well...

Beautiful work. I liked all these objects.
About the light, it seems like you used emitters for the "bar" light and maybe omni light for the mini spots(?). Didn't you try to use IES lights?

Thanks for all comments.
Micheus about the lights. I used only illuminated faces areas and matching with their values. I tried to add the Spot light, but I was dissatisfied with the result. I have no experience with IES Lighting. Thank you for your advice. I will try to Thanks

Dude these renders are forcing me to start using Kerkythea!
I like your projects becouse with every next render I can see that you are doing such a good improvemend with your renders skills. I hope your next project will totaly convince me to use Kerkythea!

Yeah, spot lights are interesting for some situation, but not for a professional work like you are showing here.
Mesh lights are needed in some situations, but the render time is considerably increased. There is a tutorial about IES use listed in a tutorial summary somewhere at Kerkythea forum. I think I linked it in the Kerkythea tips thread. Also, I think I linked some IES repositories in the thread about resources/textures... both of them under Off Topic session. Keep your excellent work. Keep growing (professionally).

Hi Marcin and thanks!
I would like to tell you something about may way finding best renderer for me.I tried 3DsMax with Vray and MentalRay, next Blender, Sketchup with Lux Render and best combination for me its Wings 3D with Kerkythea. I would like to start business with visualizations and I did not want to pay thousands of euros for software. I was looking for free renderer, adaptable with Wings 3D (because its best 3D software ), and standalone. And for that I chose Kerkythea. Especially Kerkythea Echo Boost (x64). Flexible, cheap, supports obj. and 3ds., real renderer, large selection of render types, generating depth and mask render usable for post processing. Micheus thanks for advice and thank you for the tips!

Nice work!
Can you drop some note about the render times? Do you see a significant difference in Kerkythea's latest version as to render times? I never used it and don't know, so I would like to know...
Hello Dimitri
This render took 10 hours (MLT). My PC set is AMD Athlon II X2 250 3 Ghz x64 2core (longer rendering, its gaming processor) 4 GB of RAM 1066 Mhz DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB GDDR5 I'm going to buy Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5 (4 cores, 8 threads) or AMD FX-8350 8core Box (8 cores,8 threads) It should be much faster compare test Of course, i tried using Photon mapping with self settings. But when it took 5h and it was rendered 1/3 picture, I said rather try MLT. It is true that even after 10 hours was in the image noise. But it can be reduce using Gimp. Difference of render time I can confirm in Photon Mapping and MLT too. Kerkythea 2008 (render time 1m 78%ray tracing 1/10000) Kerkythea 2008 Boost (x64) v. 2.5.2 (render time 1m 22%ray tracing 2/10000) |
