It seems like you may have a bad topology there because Dissolve should to remove those vertical faces connecting the horizontal extension of the chair.
You can try - in orthographic [o], Z view [z] - use the marquee selection to select the edges/faces in between those horizontal "bars" and then use Dissolve [DEL].
Sometimes, you can also use Clean in body mode to remove any small ("hidden") face/edges that may avoid some commands to work properly.
Thanks, it messed a little but finally I was able, I tried but somehow the topology was too bad, so I scaled creating odd pyramids, then I separated those faces. Then I delete them so I could extrude again!

Second option. If I was unable to delete those faces, I would have selected them all and used the hole function. You can then closed up the open areaby selecting edges and using loop cut to create a new face to extrude from.

That's a good option.
A third option, similar this one except don't need holes (more easy situation). Select the edges surrounding the problematic area (an edge loop) and use Loop Cut. Or..., a fourth option, if it's complicated to get the region/edges selected right, in face mode, select all the "good" faces; Invert selection; Delete or Select Edge Loop Region to get the edge loop to use Loop Cut.
