Forum updated

Hi there.

We needed to make update to the forum - which I just did - and that resulted in changes of the forum look due the new theme we are using. There were some incompatibility with the old one which I didn't want to have to deal with (although there some issues in the administration area after the upgrade ).

This theme should also looks better on smartphones.


Please let me know if you face any problem by using it. (I hope this don't happen)

Thanks for all you do to maintain the Forum.
Is it possible to show the date and time for the latest post in the various sections? It is good to have that info visible to see if something new has been posted since my last visit to the forum. As it is now, I have to click on each section to see when the latest post was made.

oort, I fixed the icons colours which give us a feedback if there is any new post since our last access - it's dark green.

The layout changes automatically (to be responsive - "Responsive web design is about creating web pages that look good on all devices!"), so if you are in other device than a PC you probably will not see the last post date in the forums. For the main index we only have the visual feedback.

For the PC, all the columns should be visible if your browser window be larger than 884 pixels.

* It may need to be necessary to force a refresh on the page to get the stylesheet files (.css) updates in the local cache.

Is it possible to get email notices when someone responds to a post? I know this was broken. I am hoping it works with the new update...

No. That's managed by SourceForge and they didn't changed their mind about allowing that.

I think I have now finished the forum update. If someone else find any issue please let me know in this thread.

- It was added the missing option to the top menus;
- Checked and fixed the layout for PC and smartphones;
- Added the Dark theme;

  

To choose your theme just go to the User Control Panel and in the left panel look for the session Your Profile and choose Edit Options. On the right board, scroll it down to the end and in Other Options change the Board Style.

Although you can see four options, the correct ones to select are Wings3D (Light) and Wings3D (Dark). The other two will stay there for a while (just in case I forgot something else  ), but they are incompatible with the current version of MyBB.

* It may need to refresh the pages you already browse with the previous theme to get the cached files updated (that happend to me).
