Is there any chance to share one of them with us? I don't have a Mac, but if the problem will not be platform related, maybe I can try check/fix it.

I encountered same problem in OSX10.9 too.
This problem also occurs in GIF format and OSX FileExport Native dialog.

The Verification screenshot is here

tkbd, about the Import dialogs in the image. Those ones greyed seems to be hidden files (right?!): did you try to open them in the other OS you have used for comparison?

About the Exporter, I noticed in your image that the .gif file format is not present too.
I hope bjorng can check this.

No,In MacOSX native dialog ,the Grayed file is not hidden file,
It is represents a file that can not be read in the dialog.
(Usually, hidden files are not visible in Default MacOSX Setting. for example ".bash" profile files for Unix)

So PSD file ( tree.psd ) is correct in gray display. Because current Wings3D doesn't support PSD file.
To the contrary, SVG file,it doesn't become gray colored name when opened in "file> import> SVG path".

I have not tried other OS yet.

I have put in the URL sample images used in this test.
It is always available when you use the test for something Wings3D.
