[Fixed] Tools | Magnet Mask | Select/Deselect not working

Tools | Magnet Mask | Select/Deselect commands are not working.

Tested using Wings3D 2.1.2 (windows 7, 64-bits), but the problem was present in the anterior release too. I dont know since which version these commands are broken, but they were working fine in Wings3D 1.5.3 (i didnt install 1.5.4).

They seem to work for me, but I admit I didn't know that it exited.

Though, it seems to be picky about selection mode restrictions,
but it was that in 1.5.3 too, which I used as reference when I tested this.

So can you be more specific about what works and what doesn't.

1. Create a Sphere, smooth it twice (for example).
2. Make any selection (half sphere, for example).
3. Then call in top menu Tools | Magnet Mask | Lock (the selection wont react to Tweak Magnet tools). The locked vertices will appear in green.
4. Deselect all (space bar).
5. Finally, call Tools | Magnet Mask | Select. Nothing happens. Those locked vertices should be selected with this command (as happens in Wings 1.5.3).

I hope it is clear now.

That works as expected for me both in 1.5.3 and 2.1.2, selected half of the faces.

Reset and Select a couple of edge rings, mask them.

Select all edges, Tools | Magnet Mask | Deselect

And the edges from the mask is deselected.

Anyone else having a problem?

How does you window layout look like, I wonder if the commands are sent to the wrong window
or something?

If you do this with only a large geom window, does it work then?

I have had these kind of bugs before, but thought I fixed them.

Do you have keyboard shortcuts on the commands, if so can you remove those
and see if works.

Trying to figure out why it doesn't work for you and it works for me.

Dgud, i just work using a single and large geometry window. To test those command (Tools | Magnet Mask| Select), i didnt call it by keyboard shortcuts: anyway i'll remove them to test again.

I'll record a video today night to show the problem to you, ok?

I don't know if that helps, I understand that it doesn't work for you I don't understand why.
Is anything printed in the log/console?

Could you please try the following?

That works as expected, so it must be some difference between my config and yours.

Fonte Boa,What was the selection modes used in your workflow?

I tried reproduce that close condition by edge loop selection.
There are cases where it is not displayed depending on the selection mode.

-Make Sphere and smooth x 2
-(Edge Selection Mode)Select a couple of edge Loop, mask them.
-Deselect all edges
-Switch Face Selection Mode
-Deselect (Press a space key)
-(Then,switch to Multi Selection mode... ex. Vertex/Edge/Face)
-Tools | Magnet Mask | Select
-But selection area isn't appear.

But your case are used edge ring aren't you?
it is mysterious....
