I would welcome the possibility to choose, when extracting a part from a multipart object, to extract it as a combined object. The situation now is that you are left with separate objects in face select state. Then you have to switch to object select mode to combine them. At the same time you have to be careful not to deselect them otherwise you have have to pick them manually again.

Combine them after a extract isn't a usual action for the most cases.
If you need preserve the selection, you can save it temporarily and the recall it after you combine them in object mode. That is not a big deal.
Keep the Selection Group window active and you will see that is very easy to manage [temporary] selections. Wink

I checked out Wings3D 0.99 (on my old computer). It seems that 'Extract' has replaced 'Extract Region'.
'Extract Region' is what I meant and I find this much more handy.
My 'Multipart object' was confusing I think. I meant a combined object.
