Mac Installation impossible

Hello,

new here,

i just dowloaded the latest wings version for mac , till now was running 1,5,4

As i tried to run the latest version i get error message saying that wings had to shut down before even opening it

Is there is special process to run or install the latest version on mac ?

I run mac el capitan version 10,11,6

Also is there is version of wings3d with manifoldlab for Mac ? or where can i get the pluging "manifoldlab" for mac

I remembered the supported version was changed recently and by checking the download page it says Mac Sierra - as I could find it is the OSX 10.12.

About manifold version, we don't have seen any activity from ggaliens since January.

you are correct i did not pay attention to the compatible OS, do you know by any chance which is the newest version available for el capitan OS, else i will have to download some and try to install till i find the compatible version

I think the change happened for the v2.1.6 (maybe because of this issue reported), but the v2.1.5 had a bug that was fixed only in its next version.
So, I think you can try to use the v2.1.4 with the fixes I shared in this link

I checked your screenshot, The dialog is Apple’s Error Report Dialog.
Maybe Wings3D was crashed. What Wings3D version are you running on El capitan?

I recommend to use v2.1.5 with El capitan(OSX 10.11).
Because v2.1.6 doesn't work on El capitan.

FYI,
This list is the version combination of Wings3D and OS that I tried so far.
v2.1.7 on MacOS 10.12 is OK
v2.1.6 on MacOS 10.12 is OK, but It doesn’t work in MacOS 10.11, (… I don’t know it works on 10.13 too)
v2.1.5 on MacOS 10.11 and 10.12 is OK, but it I heard that is doesn’t work on MacOS 10.13

v2.1.2 is broken
There is Intel HD GPU problem(about Edge display in 3D Geometry).
(Until Wings3D v2.1.2 and Yosemite - Elcapitan)

v2.0.1 on OSX 10.9 10.10.5(Yosemite)
v1.5.4 on OSX 10.10.5(Yosemite)

v1.5.3 on OSX 10.9.4(Mavericks)- The most stable combination
v1.5.2 on OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)
v1.5.1 on OSX 10.8 (Moutain Lion) (Wings3D released with 64bit only on Mac)
v1.4.1 on OSX 10.7.5 (Lion) ( Wings3D the last 32bit version)
v1.3.1 on OSX 10.5.8 (Reopard) ( Intel Mac only )

v1.3.0.1 The last version works on OSX PowerPC (ex.I tried with OSX 10.4.11,PowerPC G5)
