Modal windows with 2.2.9

I have just moved from 2.2.6 to 2.2.9 and have run into a problem. I hope it's a bug and not a deliberate decision.
Several windows have been made modal. This means I cannot rotate the view while the window is open.
All the absolute command windows are affected, as well as the tab for numeric input windows.
The UV mapping window is not affected.

Yeah, you are right.
That was changed in the latest v2.2.9 - The Input and Preview dialogs are no modal meaning we cannot change the camera while them are active.

I messed this feature too.
